Yakhnov Studio, trading as Vixi respects the privacy of the individuals it deals with, and is committed to complying fully with its obligations under the National Privacy Principles ("NPPs"), which are contained in the Federal Privacy Act 1988 ("Privacy Act").

1. Personal information we collect in the course of business

The personal information (including sensitive personally identifiable information) you provide to us will be stored on our servers. You consent to us using this information to build up a profile of interests, preferences and browsing patterns and to allow you to participate in Vixi services.

We gather technical information to help us maintain our site and identify problems with our servers when you access our website to read or download information. This may include your ip address, domain name, date and time you visited website, pages viewed and the information downloaded. These details do not disclose any personally revealing information about you.

We do use cookies to identify traffic that comes through advertising and to facilitate a more user friendly experience. Cookies are small pieces of information that a website places on your computer's hard drive so we know it's you when you visit. This helps us to create a personalised experience for you when you use Vixi services. The use of cookies is a very common practice on the Internet. By disabling cookies, you will not be able to participate in some of the features offered by Vixi services.

When you decide to register for use of Vixi service you will be asked for some general identifying information (like your name and email address) which will enable us to provide you with this individualised service.

Once you have registered, you will be given the option of creating a pseudonymous profile (nickname and personal description) within our community. You will be asked for some personal but non-identifying information to complete your profile (i.e. whether you have dependants, height, body type, race, religion, whether you smoke, etc). This information is not linked in any way to your personally identifiable information, for other members to see. Obviously, if you provide us with a photograph or video some of your information may become personally identifiable information.

2. Use and disclosure of your personal information

The personally identifiable information we collect from you is used for internet review and to improve the content and functionality of Vixi services or customise the layout of our pages for each individual member. We will never release your personally identifiable information to an external organisation without your prior consent except for the purposes of validating credit information and collecting debts.

Your non-personally identifying demographic information is used to personalise your experience, allow other members to find you through a search, allow us to forward you further search results, to compose your personal profile — which is associated with a pseudonymous identity you have created — and to deliver targeted advertising and promotional offers to you from us and from external companies that are of the highest relevance to your demographic profile.

Additionally, we may, from time to time, use personally identifiable and demographic information to identify other members that fit your search criteria and to contact you with the profiles of those members or to provide other members with your profile.

Vixi promotional offers and service information maybe sent to your contact email from time to time as well as to your on-site mailbox. In respect of all other promotions, only your on-site mailbox, and not your contact email or other contact information may be made available to other members or organisations unless you have initiated or opted in to receive information or emails from the member or organization.

We may share some of the collected information for our own research purposes with our professional advisors or consultants and third party partners, however the information shared will be limited to non-personally identifying demographic information shared under cover of a confidentiality agreement.

We may disclose your personally identifiable information if we reasonably believe we are required to do so by operation of law, which may include, but is not limited to a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on Vixi.

3. Security of information

We genuinely understand the importance of safety and privacy to all our community members, therefore private information, including personal email addresses, supplied by members will be responsibly managed by Vixi.

Although Vixi takes reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access or modification the Internet is inherently insecure and so we cannot guarantee that the website nor your information is 'hacker-proof'. When personal information is no longer required, reasonable steps are taken to destroy or permanently de-identify the information.

Credit card numbers are not stored by Vixi, all credit card transactions are managed by eWAY payment gateway facility.

By the very nature of the Internet, information that is publicly visible online might appear in search engine results or be linked to by other websites.

4. Online safety

We at Vixi would like to take this opportunity to advise members to exercise common sense and safety precautions when communicating online with other members, as they would in person. We strictly discourage members from giving out any personal information, such as home address, or contact number, to other members, at least not until you are familiar with them.
